Did you ever have the experience of waking up early in the morning, and immediately a worry or fear was passing through your mind and then begin to dwell on that worry? As concerns about your live, health, work, ministry, children, finances, business or your spouse were spinning through your mind, you noticed that you were getting more and more depressed about that situation. This is how the devil works. He tries to catch your attention early in the morning by sowing harmless looking lies into your mind. But God says in Romans 12:2 that we should renew our minds. That involves testing our thoughts and asking if they are in agreement with God’s word. We must make the decision to be diligent each morning to fill our minds with God’s truth and be convinced that God is protecting us, that He cares for us and if necessary He will deliver us. There are so many examples of God being faithful to His word, that there is truly nothing for us His children to be worried about.
