The economic situation in the world at the moment is very uncertain. Many people worry constantly about their lives and their financial situations, which can result in them feeling depressed. Some people have a lot of stress in their work place or as a homemaker, because of the many demanding tasks that need to be done which are like heavy burdens they have to carry on their shoulders.

#1 – If you are feeling stressed or depressed, why not meditate on encouraging scriptures and remember God’s love for you? Take John 14:23-27 as an example; when you follow His word you will experience His love and you will be filled with a peace that comes from God Himself. Another passage could be Matthew 6:25-27. Jesus says that we just should not worry. So don’t worry. If you trust in God, He will take care for you. Nothing is impossible with God as is written in Luke 1:37.

#2 – Aim to have a joyful heart. If you know His love well, that it is practical even in daily life issues, you will not so quickly worry or fear and joy will start rising in your heart. So with any issue that may arise in your life, it will be much easier to overcome it because you have a joyful heart and a positive attitude, knowing that God will provide a solution. It is possible that outward stress no longer influences the joy in your heart, but it needs a decision to keep thinking this way and the emphasis is on the word “keep”. Keep saying in your heart, “Father God I believe that you are alive and that Your love is practical, also for me. So I trust that You will provide a solution and now I make a choice to enjoy my work and my relationships.” Every habit is learned through repetition. Until now you have been worried because you have trained or repeated negative and fearful thoughts for many years, no wonder this “worry habit” has become a part of you. But from now on you will change and you will learn the good habit of having a joyful heart and a positive attitude. You will count and journal the simple blessings you have moment by moment; becoming thankful for the air you breathe, becoming aware about the wonders of the variations of the fruits God created, you will take notice of the beauties of His creations and as you keep trusting Him you will become aware about the miracles He is doing in your life day by day.

# 3 – Choose carefully what comes into your mind, what comes before your eyes and what comes out of your mouth; check what you “allow in”, check the articles, magazines, internet sites, games, TV programs, films and books; make sure that you avoid that which would drag you down. Focus instead on anything that builds your faith in God, so that anything coming out of your mouth will be positive not only for yourself but it will encourage even the people around you. Just a moment with, You, God

“Father, I thank you for your love and your grace for me every day. For the gift of air to breath, for strength and health, for a peaceful sleep at night, I thank you, Lord.” We may feel like God has forgotten us, but he hasn’t. God can resurrect anything that dead in our life including our broken family, our health, our marriage, our finance, our relationship, our business, our job, our dream for the future…..that seems to have died and faded away in our life. God’s help through his ability and it can work in any situation, even overcomes the toughest challenges.

Take your place in Jesus

Speaking the words of God rather than talking about our problem or discourage circumstances or saying what we feel and think.

Remember, our God is a live God, He is not statue, He is not deaf, if you’re facing a problem in a situation that looks desperate, come to Him and agreeing God’s promise through His words in your heart with joyful attitude then to speak it out as your agreement with Him, don’t give up in prayer and the great miracle from God will come. What kind of belief God is looking for?

God is looking for someone who believes in Him as a reality. It’s like that of an engaged woman as she receives the confirmation date for her wedding. She believes her fiancé’s promise of marriage and begins to make the necessary preparations. She does not wait until the day of her wedding to see if it’s true and then start organizing things. It can’t be like that, it would be a catastrophe for her wedding day having such a short time to prepare! However, because she has a close relationship with her fiancé, she knows his character, his heart, his love for her and how much he values her, she can have the confidence to prepare for her wedding day knowing it will come to pass. The truth is that faith does not come from head knowledge but it comes from relationship which is connected to your heart. The fruit of faith or the results of faith will not be seen if you wait to see the manifestation first and then start believing and acting, it has to be the other way around. You need to make the decision to believe what God promises in His word, what God has told you and what you have learned about His character during your times of close fellowship with Him, only then can your faith finally be born by the power of the Holy Spirit. How can we take responsibility for our emotions, thoughts and attitudes?

Do you realize we can do something about our thoughts, which will change our life with the words we think and speak? Most of the time our moods and attitudes were ruled by our circumstances so we end up as an unhappy person.

Proverbs 23:7 says that we become what we think; when we think negative thoughts so we become a negative person. When our minds are renewed by learning how to think with the mind of Christ, there we can experience life from what God has intended to be in our life as mentioned in Romans 12:2.

How can we take responsibility for our emotions, thoughts and attitudes?
